I have been revisiting my love for the greatest band of all time - The
Clash.
Grew up listening to them and recently have been playing the heck out of
their entire catalog again. Even found a few rare b-sides I'd somehow
never heard before. Also, love Joe Strummer's solo stuff, especially Rock
Art & the X-Ray Style.
If you can't find a few Clash songs to jump start your days, you might want
to see a doctor and/or a shaman to make sure you have a pulse and a
soul. |

You mean the one from the 1969 film Battle of Britain? That's a classic tune. So pompous and pretentious, yet easy-going and almost nautical in the way it drifts.
I know we've crossed swords before, but well done and a tip o the hat to you Mr. Falco.
The theme to the Battle of Britain is a classic too.
Anyways, its either listening to O&A to kickstart my day or usually classical. Dvorak/Mahler/Rachmaninoff. |

Yeah, it was part of the soundtrack to the Battle of Britain movie but it actually is a WW2 original. Also check out PanzerLied (the official WW2 anthem for the German tank forces) and Lili Marlene (probably the most famous ww2 tune). GREAT tunes!
I've never heard of Q&A. Are they a classical group? Anything more recent than about 1990 I'm pretty ignorant about....lol |
