That process has been simplified over the years. I remember a thread about it here where ttom outlined the process.
If the contract forbids working at a second job that is different and a contract is NOT a work visa, those are two different things.
School's permission makes sense as they are your primary sponsor and thus need to know if that second job will impact your performance and productivity.
Could be wrong however. |
To work outside of your school, you need a permission from your school AND a secondary place of employment stamp in your passport (this requires a visit to the immigration office with all of the appropriate paperwork). |
Never disputed that. It also makes sense in a system of sponsored visas for foreign workers. |

Hey guys it's not scientific but I have done a quick survey of job ads here and on other websites. Some still advertise airfares others don't.
Do not take a job iwthout airfare unless you can negotiate the following extras:
1. Regular employee status;
2. Weekly pay if you're working for a small hagwon;
3. An extra w200,000 a month, although if you get 1&2 you may relent on that.
Taking a job without airfare can represent a paycut of between $1600 and $2200 a month so think carefully.
YBM even with their split shifts are looking better for first timers as they will pay airfares and associated paperwork costs and their payscale hasn't dropped in recent years. |

No one is saying that schools do not offer airfare now - the rumor is that the airfare is going to be cut in the near future (btw - the schools that do not offer airfare primarily ask for F-visa applicants).
Right.... so, they won't pay airfare, but they will shell out extra 200K per month - wouldn't that defeat the point of cutting airfare out of the employment package?^^
Regular employee status? How would that work with E2 visa?
Weekly pay - I'm not sure how that would change anything - or even daily pay for that matter. |
