Charisma man always dies when markets become oversatured or mature. Think of Asian chicks portrayed as hot back home but who are thought of over here as just ok. It's exotic to us but we see the Asianess rather than specific facial features. Same was over here when whiteys first showed up. I'm thinking through the 90's and into the early to mid 2000's, where tall dudes with blond hair, but not really handsome, getting some girls. Nowadays, sometimes guys just get lucky (in the west too), but I would say if you're white and good looking, girls will like you. The days of being a minor celebrity, having kids shout "weigookin" at you, and having chicks like you for just being white have gone.

But being funny is always a bonus. Girls do still like that.

Let me also add, in the past, there was more of a gold digging quality to traditional Asian women. Oppa, take me to me gook, get me the ^*&( out of here. According to what I've been told recently, Seoul girls don't care if you're rich or poor, if you're decent looking. Busan girls still like money. There's Seoul and Gyeonggi and then there's the rest of Korea. Sadly, though, Korea's rich enough now that white and a passport to America is not enough by itself. If you're going to play to rich angle, better get a Mercedes.

I don't spend enough time in Busan to judge it. But outside Haeundae, the place still seems like a traditional Korean city to me. Seoul is way more cosmopolitan. In my own regional city, I'd say the younger women are mixed. Some have those traditional "family supported gold digging" while others have more "Seoul based western attitude" thinking. So, take the info with a grain of salt. I don't claim to be any expert.

Sweet, multiple posts with almost no relevance to the OP.

Guys, don't you realize that mods delete threads when this happens enough?

Thread was answered within the third reply.

Prostitutes being ferried to the nearest den of entertainment.

yeah...right!

No other reason to work in a "singing" room except to sing and entertain!

Actually, it is right. Not ALL of the girls are prostitutes. I know a guy who runs an agency. Some of those women double as dancers on those promotion stages in front of new businesses.

WTF? How the hell is their lifestyle any of your business? You sound like either a religious freak or an unattractive Western female who likes to knock attractive Korean females every chance they get. Which one is it?

K-girls are one of the few things in Korea that aren't a bloody eyesore. Let them be!

If the person who originally commented meant this seriously, it matters a little, I think.

For one, we don't know exactly what the girl's work was that night. And if it was sex work, we cannot possibly know why she chose to. If she was seeking extra cash for buying a fashionable purse, I personally find that troubling. I mean, striving for that and living that way leads to happiness about as well as diving into a pool without water. But there may be much better and less simple reasons why an attractive and young girl would accept money for sex.
