...anybody use them? i see ads for them in magazines and such, just wondering if i can trust one in my apartment to not take my stuff.
im a bit of a neat freak, so keeping my place clean really cuts into my social/relaxing time. i have a small studio and would just need dusting, vacuming, the bathroom, and some ironing done. they charge ten an hour, so im guessing 50 bucks a weeks sounds about right. she would have to do it while im at work or the gym or yoga or tanning or dating or whatever, so i cant be there to watch and make sure my stuff is still there.
if u know someone that is reputable and reasonable let me know.
thx |

I have a 2 bedroom apartment with a living room, bathroom, kitchen and foyer. It gets cleaned well for 40,000 KRW and takes 4 hours by 1 maid.
50,000 for a studio? She better be providing happy endings. |

i used Seoul Maids and i have a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom place. It was real dirty (wooden floors mainly) and this lady Josephine came round and worked it out in 4 hours. She was awesome, organized a bunch of stuff for me, did laundry, dishes ,even fed my puppy. I offered her the use of my computer to listen to music but she was all about the work!! I was so happy with her i gave her 60 thousand. I have her direct number if you want it but i don't wanna splash it on here... |

Do they only work in Seoul?
I live in Donong, east of Guri one stop, and have had trouble finding a cleaning service. I had an uncle write a flyer in Korean hoping some halmoni would be interested in an extra couple manwons a month but I haven't gotten any callbacks.
Also, anyone know what the expected number of working days a week are? I'm thinking 2 or 3 hours of cleaning every other week would be enough for my preferences but would that fall beneath some kind of minimum? |

I use this place: http://hnskorea.com/
The main benefit is that the maids are filipinas, so they speak English, which lets me communicate exactly what I want and don't want her to do. I think the premium for this is about 1,000 more per hour. I get 4 hours of cleaning each week for 11,000 per hour. When she's done, my home is clean and organized as a classy hotel. It's totally worth it. |

I use a wonderful cleaning person Jenny @ 010-5844-7312. I have a one-bedroom and it was filthy, she spiffed it up in 3 hours. She said next time it should only take 2. |

Bumping this.
Need someone to clean my house, certain walls, and the bathroom (which seems to consistently grow mold and mildew). |

Where do you live? I just hired a good maid for 10/hr (two hours every other week is enough for my place) and she is looking for extra work. If you live on the north side of Seoul, she would work. Speaks English, also. PM or reply and I'll give you her info. |

I live in Hongdae. Could you please PM me her name and number?
I found someone on Craigslist, but the fact that she writes in all caps is a pet peeve of mine. |

I'm in Incheon, and I'd love to find someone to clean my place. I don't mind light stuff, but I hate scrubbing floors (real wood, not that stuff that comes in rolls) and bathrooms, and my floors could use a good scrubbing. It's just a 1br place, so not big. If anyone know of someone good, please let me know. |

Oh, I know how to clean. I'd just rather pay someone to give it a scrub down. The last time I properly scrubbed my floors (with a bristle brush) it took hours and my arms ached for days. |

I agree. I'd rather pay someone ten bucks an hour than spend an hour of my time scrubbing floors.
I found a great cleaner after putting a post on craigslist. There are also nanny websites with people who also offer cleaning. |
