I have had some health conditions, and last year it got much worse, so I am in need of a surgery. I was going to wait until my contract finishes which is in August, but the pain interferes with my daily activities, and if there is a room opening up ( I am currently on waiting list in a Korean hospital for the surgery)
I am thinking of getting the surgery here.

I could apply for sick days with doctor's note if I am getting surgery after the finals , which would be ideal, but what if it falls on my summer camp days? Summer camps are mandatory, and if I don't complete that, I might not get my exit allowance.

I think my school has a room to wiggle, but they wouldn't, since they don't like teachers using their sick days here.

Does anyone know what happens if NSET uses sick days in the summer camp?

If you are in hospital, use less than your allowed 15 days and have a doctor's note then it is a non issue. They may not be happy but you are OK.

Had an ACL repair done under similar circumstances.
