big history by prof. david christian. starts at the big bang, creation of the solar system, first life, agrarian society, industrial revolution and then discusses the future.

zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.

many, many podcasts, especially by dr. karl.

music, the lumineers, goyte, my head is an animal etc.

You mean The Fall and Rise of China. I recently listened to these as well and when I loaded it onto my iPhone I wrote it the same way you did.

Listenable TV shows. Deadwood, Star Trek TNG and DS9, Rumpole of the Bailey, Poirot, Homicide Life on the Street. Shows you can put on while playing a game or web surfing and hear good dialogue and interesting writing.
