Sounds good and needed but it'll take a few years to kick in ..
FYI, from next week, July. Teeth Scaling/ cleaning is available once per year for about 13,000 with medical insurance.. |

The quickly aging population in South Korea, plus the increase in the four major diseases (mostly related to cancer from what I gathered from the article), is one of the reasons why the country has decided to make changes to National Health Services. I see this as a good thing, but obviously it will affect personal taxes and everyone will eventually have to chip in to make up the difference in what is being added. I have to say that NHIC has been good to me in the country along with the other private insurances we have for my family. My wife had a serious illness and almost died, and I have only positive things to say about the way the system worked to keep us from going bankrupt during the time she spent in the hospital for 6 months.
Things are much better these days, and I too am glad they are working to improve the NHIC. |

@Saram,
Is that reduced-cost cleaning/scaling at any dentist, or just a select few? |
