This isnt a question for myself, its for my korean g.friend/fiancee.
Shes planning on taking a trip to England this year and wanted to take part in a study course that is;
a/ 1- 6 months in length (she wants the general teir 4, student visa).
2/ not overly expensive.
3/ will have some use when she returns to korea (basically, just look good on a resume/cv, get more job interviews for teaching and have some practical application for teaching - thats why she was thinking 3 months ish).
She already has a degree in english and tourism, but was hoping that she could combine a cultural visit with some study for a while (She was also hoping to get some p.t. translation work whilst there because her English is pretty good).
I didnt have a clue when i was asked because I only know about bettering esl instructors. So, i appreciate the input!

| She could get an FA coaching badge (soccer). Korea is pushing for more girls in sports. Women's Football World Cup is winnable for Korea. North Korea has won it already. |

haha! she really doesnt have the legs for footy!  , Ill mention it to her and her parents though.

Although it's crappy in your case, the VISA's for students needed to be reviewed in the UK.
Up until a few years ago (i'm sure they still exist btw) there were false colleges all over the UK ESP London where 'students' came to 'study' and then disappeared into the system.......
These changes make that harder. |

well that explains it.
It also states in the visa regulations, that you can arrive only just before the course and have to leave straight after. So theres no room for travelling anywhere.
From all the research Ive done, the only flexible way for a korean to visit the uk, is to apply for a youth visa. You only need a small amount of money in the bank but you must be younger than 31 at the time of application. You can work, study and travel on this visa.
