I recently booked a flight out of SE Asia and in the course of logging into a couple of semi-dormant airline accounts of mine found there were "updates" to "clarify names" that had occurred. In my case, all it did was change my middle initial on my passport to my full middle name.
Again, it seemed this was a system wide change but I'm curious if anyone has had problems boarding a flight when the update on an air carrier doesn't exactly match your passport now? I should add one change I saw was at Orbitz.
Has anyone else noticed this or had any recent experience with this? Apologies if this has already been covered recently. |

Never had a problem but I no longer fly on American carriers or route through the States either.

Thanks. I've never had a problem either but never noticed what seemed to be system wide shift in the customers name. I guess I'll double check with Orbitz. Just don't want to end up stuck at an airport with a useless ticket.... |
