Hello All,
I would like to know if anyone has any knowledge about Chadwick International School and living in Songdo? There is minimal information about this area and school.
Thank you. |

What do you need to know? Songdo is nice. I've lived here for a few years. Lots of parks, restaurants, etc. Family oriented. The Incheon subway runs right through it, so easy access. Having been in the country for along time and lived in many different places, I wouldn't live anywhere else in Korea now, except maybe Jeju-do.
Chadwick is the International school where all the rich folks send their kids. They only hire from outside the country.
I've met a few people who work there and they are very happy. The students are fairly high level and motivated. The locals all want to get in, and have gone to great lengths to get their kids into the school.
On the converse I know a few "international" parents who have sent their kids there and were less than satisfied with the quality of education compared with the price. |

I work in Songdo, and have to agree with what the above poster has said, it's a nice area, very family oriented. I live a 10 minute bus ride away, and while I like Songdo for working in, I imagine living there without a car could be quite restrictive, as there are no big supermarkets, there's a small E Mart everyday, but Lotte Mart, Home Plus and E Mart are all a bus/subway ride away.
Songdo has 2 beautiful parks, Hadoji Park and Central Park, as well as lots of nice bars and restaurants. Chadwick is a stones throw from Central Park. The kids at our summer intensive all attend Chadwick, and they're a bright group of children who are keen to learn. The brother of one of my Kindy homeroom kids also goes there, and again is very bright with excellent English. |

| @Aine, what purpose would it serve for me to Troll??? Google doesn't give you personal accounts of this school or location and what it would be to live in this location. If I ask a question on this site it is simply to get person accounts or opinions of those who have been. No need for the sarcasm. Perhaps you aren't familiar with common courtesy or decency. |

| You clearly stated that there was minimal information about the school - I was pointing out that if you check on Google, there's a wealth of information about the school. I also followed up this information with some personal information about the area, so I think your comment about decency is laughable. |

I have read most of what you have posted on the web @Aine, however as I stated I wanted personal accounts. Sometimes you will get a better feel for a place if you hear from the people that live or work in a community.
@Canadian there is no review for Chadwick on ISR I went there first. So I am just inquiring on this board for some feedback. Thats all.
Also, most of what I have read online has been mainly positive. So I just wonder is this place too good to be true... Just wanted different views from people that are actually there.
Thanks for the info... |
