Europe or South America, pretty ordinary choices I know, but Asia is kind of played for me right now.

They are preferred on the Arabian peninsula? Americans are having a hard time at this moment getting Iqamas for Saudi Arabia, I never saw this preference first hand if I am being honest.

The Saudi Embassy in Britain is now refusing Iqama related visas for Brits with non-related degrees just the same as they are doing for Americans. Did you really think it was not going to happen that way?

Really? Where did you read that? I am not doubting your word, I haven't read that though.

I'd be out here on the first flight. Who in their right mind would stay here unless you were married?

Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Swiss, Germany, Portugal, the list goes on and on

No more kimchi, crappy food, people that know how to walk correctly down the street, real Western food, no ajummas shoving me all the time acting like barbarians, people that don't know how to share, double standards, hacking on the street, adjosshi ego trips, Korean culture, ugly buildings, getting stared at and followed all the time, less racism (media AND every day life), better quality of life, more vacation, et al.

I have to say. Italy has problems with rude people, racism, walking into you, harassment if you are a woman and getting ripped off in the workplace - is the grass greener on the other side of the fence? I think in the case of Italy vs Korea it wouldn't be though Spain, Germany, France would be good choices in my opinion.

I'll take your word for it. HOWEVER....

The problems in Italy couldn't be nearly as bad as they are in Korea.

Rude people? Doubt they're any ruder than ajummas. I've still yet to meet people from another country that are even close to the rudeness and barbaric behavior of an ajumma.
Racism? HIGHLY doubt I'd be getting death stares from people every time I'm holding the hand of a local. HIGHLY doubt I'd turn on the news and see news stories about how people from my country are only there for sex, wrecking the place, and spreading the AIDS. HIV test in order to teach? No.
Walking into me? Fair point I'd have to find that out myself.
Harassment? "if you are a woman" doesn't apply
Getting ripped off? Again I'd have to find that out myself.

I've met people that went to Italy and had bad experiences. I've also met people that went to Italy and loved it and didn't want to leave. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives. Food alone and I'm sold. The thought of no more kimchi has me on the first plane out. Combine that with real culture, architecture, historical sights, just a more beautiful country in general and it's a no brainer. No one outside of gyopos or Koreaboos in their right mind would choose Italy over Korea if given the chance.

That's awesome. I wouldn't mind living in Germany. Sure would be nice having real beer on tap, instead of Cass *vomit*

China or Thailand if you are a go-getter type. Much better savings potential.

Stay in Korea if you are the stereotypical, gap-year, Welsh, EFL teacher type.

.

Not sure I agree with that, I think theres alot of money to made here, but you got to work a bit more to get plugged in...

Mustn't forget Korea of course. Who wouldn't want to list that in their top 8 countries in the entire world they'd like to live and work in?

I named likely destinations, there are more.

Now instead of taking a shot at me WHY NOT ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE THREAD and have the maturity to respect other peoples preferences and opinions.

Seriously Ed, what did I do this time? Laughing

Good lord man...get over it.

? What's so bad about Italy? And why do gyopos want to work there?
