need to get out of town for a couple of days next week and haven't been down there, really just need to know where the express bus and ktx stations are in relation to some of the main sites (I can't seem to find a Yeosu Station on the KTX site just a Yeosu Expo station)

figure there are a ton of motels near them

I went years ago, before the expo, and to be honest there isn't really much to do. I can't remember the name, but there is a large structure that's a tourist attraction, which used to be a kind of meeting hall in the Joseon period, I think...well anyway it's a beautiful building overlooking the harbor, and sitting there while the sun sets was pretty nice. The seafood can be good, too. Other than that there isn't much to recommend it in my recollection.

just got back from 3 days down there, yeah there isn't much to do. I had a decent hotel along the harbor (Motel Sky for 50,000/night during the week) . If you love expensive seafood, you'll love that. Behind the waterfront there is a sort of mini shopping district with brand name shops,a Lotteria and a Mr Pizza, only McDonalds I saw was way out north near the bus terminal at E-Mart

I'd take one of the local buses out to the end of the island the bridge is connected to where there is a temple. There were also a number of boats going to the various islands. Seems like most of the locals hang out at the old Expo Park, they still got some stuff going along with a tower overlooking it.

If you haven't been there and need a change of scenery do it, I wont go back thats for sure

The old expo grounds might be fun as well, and Hyangiram is cool - http://www.chrisinsouthkorea.com/2012/01/destination-hyangiram-yeosu-jeollanam-do/
