Where's the best place to go during this period?

most of you know about respective rainy seasons better than I would, but I'm looking for a fun/somewhat cultural UNIQUE adventure.

Any suggestions?

Within Korea, it will be a nightmare to find a place that is not loaded with people. If you don't mind hoards of Koreans, I recommend the East Coast. Plenty of nice beaches (Gyeong-po, Sokcho), mountains, and temples. Plus, the fish markets are great for food and walking around.

If you're looking for a quiet, cultural vacation, you may need to head out of the country. Personally, if I had the time and money, I'd try Sapporo. The rest of Asia will be uncomfortably hot and possibly too rainy to enjoy the outdoors.

No need to leave Korea - just get off the beaten path.

The Korean Film Museum (http://www.chrisinsouthkorea.com/2010/04/destination-digital-media-city-korean-film-museum/) is close to Seoul and indoors. Fair bit of English around.

Plenty more off-beat places around.
