I'm not sure what you mean 96 degrees. That is almost the boiling point of water. It is 36C where I live. However, if it really is 96 degrees where you live then make sure you drink at least a hogshead of water if you travel more than a league outside.
Damn dude, get with the 21st century already. |

I'm from the richest and most influential country to ever exist. The world's most powerful economy. We use Fahrenheit. Get with the program and learn Fahrenheit (in addition to your precious Celsius) if you want to be truly global. |

In comparison, and adjusted for today's currency, the British Empire was probably ten times larger and more powerful than the US has ever, or will ever, be. Moreover, it lasted hundreds of years. The "US Dream", which is now a bit of a world wide joke, is pretty much over. China will eclipse the US economically in a very short number of years. Bye, bye number one. Forever. |

Indeed, people do not realize that USA along with other economic juggernauts like Belize, Burma, Liberia, Palau and a few of the historically British-influenced Caribbean nations, such as Jamaica, all use Fahrenheit - while the other, less developed nations, do not. |

True that. But in it's heyday, the US economy prospered because of strong labor unions and a thriving middle class. China is prospering now because of sweatshops and borderline slave labor. So if that's number one, it paints a pretty bleak picture of things to come. |

The most recent stats for annual GDP:
United States___________$16,633,400,000,000
United Kingdom___________2,434,000,000,000
Australia_________________1,541,000,000,000
Canada__________________1,535,000,000,000
South Africa________________375,944,000,000
New Zealand________________161,851,000,000
The haters are little men with a Napolean complex. The United States has a yearly per capita GDP of $51,688. China: $6,076. (Even if China's per capita GDP quadrupled-a highly unlikely, fantastic senario- it would still be less than half of that of the United States.) The United States is not going to fall anytime soon, nor is it considered a joke worldwide.

Wrong about Jamaica, but like Canada, some older people may still use F, feet, and lbs, and some less older people use a mix of the two systems in their daily lives. As for young people (born after 1970) it's mostly metric.
I being Canadian, it's almost all metric except for a person's weight and height. Strangely, I use kg when buying fruits, and meters when thinking about distances though. |

The haters are little men with a Napolean complex. The United States has a per capita GDP of 50K per year. China: 6K. The United States is not going to fall anytime soon, nor is it considered a joke worldwide. |
Nobody is arguing the current strength, and influence of your USA. But saying it is the most most powerful and influential the world has "ever seen" is questionable. |
