|
Just got to Korea. Been up for over 48 hours. Dying for some sleep. Problem? My apartment doesn't have a bed.. or chair.. or any sort of furnishing for that matter. There is a really thin mat, but that's it. I'm working for a public school. Do I say something? I went to look for a thicker mat tonight, but all I can find costs 400,000! Just for a mat. I'm thinking a bigger city will have something cheaper, but the school said they would provide it. Should I say something to them? |

I think a bed is probably in the contract. Have you mentioned this to your CT yet? In my contract there were a bunch of required things to have in the apartment, and I'd definitely make a fuss if I didn't have a bed |

Not only would I ask my school for a bed, I would ask them to put me up in a hotel that has one until it arrives. Be firm, but polite. |

You're probably lucky. The previous teacher probably had to throw the bed out because it smelled like urine and had used condoms under the mattress and elsewhere, and the chairs were equally as unsanitary and had to go too.
Be glad it's already thrown out. |
