yeah so I moved up and am not teaching anymore (Thank God) It's been in the plans for a while and finally got it up and running.

I'm hiring foreigners at 1.4 Mill (M-F 7:00am-5pm, no break) and they must live in the basement (unfurnished) but I will provide free kimchi and an assortment of Ramyun. That's not why I started the thread though.

Anyway, if I can do it, you can, too. MOTIVATION is all it takes. Get out of the hagwon circus and be a real man and start a business.

Good luck to you all on that.

I'm starting a business in Detroit as soon as my Labor Board and pension issues get resolved here in Korea. I'm mainly attracted to the low commercial real estate prices. But after being robbed of salary, pension, apartment deposit, cell phone, Hite beer, and instant coffee in Korea, it'll be refreshing to live in a place where theft and corruption are less rampant and not as part and parcel of the culture.

Detroit is a fine city brother. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Didn't you say you worked at the embassy, making 250k, under a top secret division, talking to Obama once a week?
Amazing, you must have gotten bored with such a great job.
No one believes you for a second Dodge7. Rolling Eyes

Dude, I totally believe it... who wouldn't quit their job at the embassy making 250k to play patty cake with toddlers all day.
Actually I'm sure you must be flooded with applicants right now willing to get paid in kimchi.
Nobody in their right mind would turn down an offer to work for you. Laughing

Good luck Dodge/Nolo/iPayinCash.

But why hire people. You've got three in one in yourself. Get your alter egos teaching. Save some money on staffing!

So real men don't work for hogwons? LOL...I know plenty of F visa guys with their own businesses (not just language schools, bars, etc.). They don't come on Daves talking about it. Good luck to you, but it says a lot about you to preach/brag. Not jealous mind you, I'm very happy with my lot in life, just noting the type of person that would make a post like yours.

What could go wrong? - Basement + foreigner + babies =

Great pay too; you should attract high caliber applicants.

I'm Dodge7/Kentucker4 and I am here to tell you that the real money is in tomb raiding in China. Hagwon daycare is definitely not it.

Good Lord! Imagine those small, innocent children under the care of a schizophrenic sociopath.
Luckily it’s just his (their) imagination.

Seriously though, one of you should convince the other to go and see a doctor.
