If you go down to the links on the Washington Post webpage, there are other articles about N. Korea. One of the most interesting ones that I read was the one about the methamphetamine trade with China and the addicted population in the northern part of North Korea. Evidently, meds are too expensive and scarce, so they rely on cheap meth to get by.
