|
|
Does anyone have experience with the Korean Consulate in Atlanta? I'm on a tight schedule, as I'll be departing for Korea next Friday. I mailed my passport and the visa application to the consulate in Atlanta this past Thursday and was told that, "It should take a week, maybe." When I asked once again, I was given the same answer with the "maybe" at the end, just like the first time. Another person at the consulate told me that it will take 3 days. I'm really kicking myself for not mailing my docs to the NYC consulate, as I know that that consulate has a very fast visa processing turn-around time (as in a day or two).
For those who have used the Atlanta consulate, post-interview requirement, how long did it take to receive your passport back from the day that you mailed it or dropped it off in person at the consulate? Most of the Atlanta consulate info in the forum is a bit old, so any new perspectives would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

They used to do it same day, if you arrived in person early enough. But these days, it takes them a day or two and then they mail it to you. |

I think it took 4 days including shipping to Florida in 2011. I don't remember if I sent an express envelope or not. I think you can go pick it up if you live nearby. |

In 2011 I got it the next day after the interview. |

Took me exactly a week I think to get it after I FedEx overnighted it with a FedEx overnight envelope enclosed, from South Florida. |

I should add that I lived near the consulate and was able to just run by there to pick it up the next day. |
