Last summer I got my US certification for high school math / science teacher, so now I am trying for a job in the international school system here in Korea. It wont be easy because they all want 2-3 years prior experience, but with math / science I might be able to break into an urgent opening sometime.
Does anyone know the visa type for an International high school teacher?
Does that visa type also require the apostilled FBI check and apostilled diplomas?
Some school post that it is a visa requirement that the teacher have 2 years prior high-school experience; it that really a visa requirement or probably just a school requirement?

As I am shooting for a last minute, urgent, opening, I want to make sure I have everything in order in case the call comes.

I researched this before, but can't find the link. I'm almost positive that you need an E-7 Specially Designated Profession (특정활동) Visa. I believe you do need two years of teaching experience for the visa, but it doesn't necessarily have to be at a traditional high school in your home country. If I remember correctly, it just has to be at an accredited institution. So if you've worked at a hagwon then it won't count. Immigration may accept two years of teaching experience at a Korean public school.

All teachers in Korea, regardless of visa status have to have the apostilled CBC and apostilled diploma. I'm not sure if your teaching certificate needs an apostille or not. The federal shutdown slowed the process for the FBI check, so I'd get started on that right away.

I can attest to the shutdown slowing down the FBI CBC but maybe it's not as bad as some may think.

I got my CBC back about 2 weeks ago.....I think it took almost 8 weeks to arrive?

I needed a CBC for my US certification, but it is almost a year old now, so no use getting that one apostilled. I will start that process over again. Apostilled diplomas are going to be a bear too.
I taught for two years at a university in Seoul, so I think I have the two years teaching experience covered. Hope university experience counts for visa for high school teacher.
Thanks for the info about the visa type, if any one can back up that visa type info or has move information about that kind of visa I appreciate it.
