I'd say it's about love in the dating phase and a few years after marriage, but if money gets a bit tight... |

Had a foriegn friend connected with some higher up Koreans. He wasn't an English teacher. Anyways, he was watching some show with some K chick dancers (maybe behind a singer or something like that). He told me some Korean ajossi men (who knew and trusted him well) said they knew some of these girls and slept with them for money. They would hook when in between dancer contracts and other gigs.
He also had a Korean ajossi friend send him a copy of a video message he received from Bi Gyo Ki (names changed to protect the not so innocent). She definately earned her position if you can read between the lines. He showed me the message as she was smiley and speaking flirtatously in Korean to him. (Not to my friend, to the ajossi.) This was just before smart phones came on the market when the 2g phones had video recorders. |

I was using "sock" as a synonym for "troll" or "flame-baiter," though I do realize that they all connote different things -- a sock is more often a second account one uses in order to act as a troll without tarnishing one's reputation (a "sock puppet," and then later, simply a "sock").
I was expressing the idea that it was very clear to me (i.e. "transparent") that cmxc was trying to stir up strong reactions simply for the purpose of stirring up strong reactions ("trolling"). I wanted to pretend to be clever, so I wanted a less direct assertion, so I went with "the colors of socks I have seen."
It amused me at the time, and I'll stand by it.
Elaborate enough? |
When an analogy takes that much explanation, is it really worth standing by? |

So, it turns out that virtually every female Korean celebrity has been prostituting herself to wealthy Korean business men. |
And this is different from Mariah Carey or any other Western hoe?? |

Did it start out that way though?
Interesting how he 'dated' stars that are associated with where he works. Very interesting power dynamics... I'm just surprised that not more Korean executives marry their 'stars'.
And there is Celine Dion and her 'uncle' marrying.
Oh wait, I forgot... western old pervs a executives.
Korean old pervs are adjoshis. |

It's not unusual to have relationships with those who are in the same industry.
Also power can be a pretty amazing aphrodisiac.
I'm not saying it's any less sordid. I'm just pointing out the Mariah and Motolla getting married is a bit different than some talent agent getting a blowie under his desk after promising to make some pretty young thing a star.
I'm sure it happens everywhere. But this thread and forum is about Korea. |

Yeah, this is a Korea only forum. So when someone makes a post with sweeping generalizations about an entire group of people, you are not allowed to bring up the fact that this happens elsewhere. |

No, of course other things will get brought up. Fine.
But the default setting of little bitches like you is to immediately go on the "Oh that happens everywhere! Oh my God why are we even talking about this? It happens everywhere!!!1" defense.
I'm sure there are lots of Hollywood celebrity forum sites you can go on and start threads about stars whoring themselves out to get to where they are today.
And I'm sure the response there won't be "Hey, no! That happens in Korea too! Didn't you know that? Oh my lolz he didnt know it happens in Korea too!!" |
