I desperately need to collect my pension money because I have been fired and have no money to survive. I am currently living with a friend and sleeping on his couch.
I decided to book a one way flight to Japan in hopes to collect my pension balance at the airport pension booth. I am worried because since I filed my paperwork at the pension office I have been informed that I can not collect my money at the pension booth at Incheon airport but will instead have to wait several days for a wire transfer.
I really need this money.. One important piece of information is that I have found a new job in Korea that starts in March and have already transferred my visa to this new job. I did this after filing my paperwork at the pension office.
Can anyone tell me if it is likely that I will not receive my pension payment? The people at the pension office have assured me I would although I have not been completely honest with them about my intentions to return to Korea for work. Also they don't know as of now that my visa sponsorship has been transferred.
Thanks for any input |

did you speak to anyone at the pension office? if you had, anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to wait up to a month before cashing in your pension. They can wire it to your home account (in your country) or a bank in Korea, but it will take time. It is not immediate. |
