Is Kpop art? From an Andy Warhol perspective, absolutely. It is the art of the masses in this day and age. Is it good art? Eh, some is, some not so much. Some of it is sexy. Some of it could be defined, at its very worst, as soft erotica.

Now let’s be adults and understand this. Erotica is not pornography. Look at the words carefully and see how differently they are spelled. That should be a hint. It does not matter if you believe erotica is pornography, it is not. Now you have the spelling, you can check the words in a dictionary. Your dictionary will confirm what I am telling you.

You may be high brow and look down on erotica. You may become apoplectic at the thought of the masses enjoying such low brow entertainment and the mere thought of young children seeing such art makes you seethe. That does not make it pornography. You may believe there is a plot, a conspiracy, to turn a nation’s youth into whores and harlots by watching entertainment that is erotic. You would be wrong about that too. Erotica has always been around us, in our finest and greatest art.

But, as Edwardcatflap willingly enquired, what if this entertainment of the masses ‘crosses a line’? I believe there is a Korean rating agency for that. I am assured of one thing though; the person deciding how Korean’s should act when entertaining is not some hanbok wearing western social reject. Whoever decides will be Korean and that is how it should be. Curmudgeons need not apply.

Get the point? It's part of the music industry for better or, in Korea, worse, much worse, since it takes the place of talent and good music.

To borrow a quote from World Traveler in another thread...

Whatever, scumbag.
I reported your response to this to the mods:
"Id be interested to know what happened to this girl."
Notice what you wrote is no longer there.

You should not be lusting after young girls in kpop videos or think it is cool they are touching themselves.

Wait...what?
Why shouldn't he?
That is the precise intent of the video.

My dictionary does not confirm that. Yours does?
Seems to be a lot of grey area...(or should I say pink?)...in this issue. Wink

You are admitting to be a scumbag? Laughing

One problem though. I'm not try to associate with you. I'm trying to get rid of you (hopefully banned).

Yeah does actually (Merriam-Webster: works of art or literature that deal with sex and are meant to cause sexual feelings). The go-to site of all sites (Wikipedia) gets more into it, so to speak. General consensus is sexuality and art combined.
Grey eras eh? 50 shades of them no doubt. Wink

Yes, you have a point there.
But, in my case, all I did was quote the narration transcript of the youtube video, as you can see. That's why the all the words are in quotes.

They are not my feelings or words, and the video is acceptable for youtube, Korean TV where it was broadcast, and this forum.

This is a case of serious harassment. World Traveler is creepin.
WT is resorting to using profanity to encourage moderators to delete the thread, so his ridiculous raving and false accusation will be deleted.

Shut up, please. You are annoying anyone who has to read your crap.

Alright, from now on, I will merely report any disgusting sexual comments you make to the mods rather than ask you personally to stop.

I'm done talking to you. This conversation is over. (What you wanted, right?)

I'm in a cafe now trying to relax by sipping a warm cup of camomile tea. This is the song playing now. (So unnerving.)

Wow, no wonder my students say "f*ck you" all the time. It's in the chorus of their favorite kpop songs.
