I was told by a friend of mine, who had been working 3 jobs simultaneously(E2 Visa), that he can no longer work more than one job, even with permission from the employer who sponsors his visa. Apparently it's a new rule.
An confirmation on this?

Never heard that. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's yet another law to curb English education in this country. That being said, enforcement of the law in Korea depends on what mood the enforcer is in that day.

Working under the table is a crime in this country as it is in yours. Its a visa offence and an income tax offence which you can and will be impriosoned for, fined, (possibly restitioned for) and deported.

Your criminal activity (no matter how innocent in your eyes) is illegal. Your private teaching is taking away money for honest tax paying Korean businesses.

They are out to get you. Be prepared to pay.

A bit optimistic, but I agree.

OP it's best to get this confirmed by the people who know: immigration. Then, I recommend a second opinion from them, too.

STFU Stan, as long as your main employer and immigration approve you can work as many jobs as you like on an E2, some univs actually do allow this if it doesn't conflict with your class schedule at your main school
