| I'm about a week away from the end of my contract and the start of my new one, but I'm unsure of how severence works in this case. Are you supposed to receive it at the end of a contract regardless of renewing, or only when you stop working for a company? |

Only when you stop working for the company. Other people can correct my if I'm work, but after your first year your severance is calculated monthly. So, for example, if you quit after a year and 6 months, you are entitled to a year and 6 months severance. |
