They like to see themselves as just informal or casual in their style.

I call it unprofessional. Or maybe these slobs are just too cheap to buy a suit.

Depends on what kind of impression you want to make I suppose. If you want them to think you're just some unqualified joker who doesn't have a clue about the job that they are paying you to do, then you don't have to. Good luck with that.

However if you want to be taken seriously, get respected, make useful connections and reap the financial benefits that are available, then wearing a suit at an adult hagwon might just be a good idea.

lol at you trying to earn your respect by the clothes you wear at an ADULT hagwon. Adults WILL respect me for who I am, not by what I wear. You are so soft.

Yes lol at me. Keep lolling until you reach the oh-so-difficult-to-attain insight that what you wear says rather a lot about you, particularly in these parts. I'm sure your stellar personality is just shining through your cheap XXL jeans, white sneakers and cr@ppy polo shirt combo.

I've worked in a lot of adult hagwans and the dress code for male teachers has always been the same. Smart trousers and a dress shirt. The students are usually casually dressed unless they come from work in which case they usually remove their jackets and ties. Some teachers try and push the boundaries by wearing chinos, cords, trainer-like shoes etc... Ad there's always one teacher who comes in wearing a suit and tie. He's usually the weird one.

Yes, and for you wearing a suit to a hagwon says an awful lot about you. It says you WAY too uptight and think wearing a suit actually puts you in better standing with the people you work with and the people you teach and your owner. Which it doesn't. It simply makes you look like a pretentious TOOL. I wish I could meet you and say this to your face, little girl. Just as the poster above me said. You are probably the "weird" one.

and you are right, I do wear polos. I rock them too. But I wear them so they fit and are not hanging off of me and my pants are always clean and hemmed and don't have those dirty bottoms with rips and tears in them. My shoes are always NEW and clean and I smell good. You have no idea who you're talking to, boy.

You really are one confused individual. Keep "rocking" the polos though, I'm sure that one of the sniveling, snotty 4 year old's whose backside you have to wipe when you're not instructing them how to say "apple" probably thinks you're cool.

Please stop, you're embarrassing us. A full out black suit and tie, you can't be serious. You look like a complete....tool.

You prize yourself way more than any hagwon manager does that's for sure. But you are WAY over dressed and you look hilarious (in a bad way.) You stick out like a sore thumb. You must feel SO important but it's downright laughable on how UNimportant you truly are.

I really hope this prevents you from wearing another suit to hagwon. And anyone else for that matter. Sometimes the truth hurts, but if you must hear it, I'm glad it came from me.

Don't think it matters what Speck7 is wearing to work. This dude wears a please hit me face at every occassion

Depending on the weather, suits can be comfortable. As long as you don't have a job involving kids wiping their grubby hands on you I don't see any problem.

lol no they won't. what a child's thinking. do you demand respect after a hard day out catching butterflies and grasshoppers after you've put on your crisp polo? (who wears polos really?)

hint: your appearance will also be a factor in how people give you respect. to think otherwise is a fools game. but i'd really expect nothing less from dodge/speck/ipic.

Are you serious? Who wears polos? You have 4 choices in the summer: A T-Shirt (really who wears t-shirts to works--maybe you do), POLOS, Button downs or Henleys. I own all 4. Tell me where Im wrong. You dress like a hobo, stay in your place you walking filth.

aww looks like someone filled up their diaper. lol.

sorry champ, if i'm trying to look nice i wear a proper button down, not a polo. i'm neither an old fashion-less man nor a college student.

also, might as well keep pointing out your follies, i'm gainfully employed thanks. no hobo here and i'd wager to say i'm much better off in all aspects of life than you, namely in this situation, intelligence.

change your diaper champ and keep er' clean!

I thought it was well established that your name is Dan, and you live in Bucheon.

My dad wore a suit as a young fella going to work and there would be no way Speck7 would be going up to him giving him abuse without leaving the scene with a mouthful of broken teeth. Laughing

What business is it of anyone's who wears what?
