Yeah I know: there's plenty there. But this is my friends favorite brandy (made here in Portland) and I am bringing it for her birthday. Will I be able to bring this in my luggage? I leave next Saturday.

Yes, but you may want to check if you can get it at the airport, duty-free.

Interesting, a friend of mine is coming here from Portland Friday...

No, I mean you may get it cheaper at the airport. Call and see what is available in the duty-free shop.

I doubt you will have to pay a tax on one bottle even if you don't buy it duty-free.

For example, cameras, electronic equipment, leather goods, perfume concentrate, jewellery, watches, sporting goods, etc. Most personal items such as new clothing, footwear, articles for personal hygiene/grooming. And 1 litter of alcoholic liquor (including wine, beer or spirits) for travelers aged 20 years and over. Tobacco - 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars and 250g tobacco products other than cigarettes, for travelers aged 20 years and over.

Yes, you can bring the one bottle. I am saying it might be cheaper to buy it at the airport.
