I have good energy, and if someone doesnt, that doesnt mean much to me.
Too much Beta, not enough Alpha I think.
When I worked teaching business people in Gangnam, Id hear all the time "Happiness, I envy you."
I showed them, I encouraged them.
Most of the friends and the girls I dated have said they liked my energy I put out. Im not happy and friendly to everyone, but I do have a bit of the Im doing great, but beyond that If someone if miserable or unhappy, they get one chance from me and then I go above and beyond. |
IPIC, is that you in all your awesomeness? Have you ever considered doing the "Be Awesome Like Me" lecture circuit thing? Think of the awesome influence you could have on people's lives. It would be like so awesome. |

KimchiNinja, I might be inclined to believe you if it weren't for your original comment. You made it way too obvious. |

No, I was serious; "I find Koreans to be really upbeat energetic positive fun polite people."
Just look around you, how can all these happy upbeat people walking around be considered negative? That doesn't make any sense. You could say they are positive BUT they are faking it, never the less faking positive isn't being negative, it's being positive. |

I'm sorry but that sounds even more sarcastic. Look around me? Really upbeat energetic positive fun polite? I'll give you energetic. I have met some people that fit your entire description, but not many. Upbeat is more like uptight. Positive is more like driven to succeed or else. Fun is when they're not busy with the previous two things mentioned, and polite is when something can be gained from it. All in all, they are human and humans can't collectively be described as you have written. Unless, of course, you're being sarcastic. |

Ok, I was unsure before but now you've cleared it up. Sorry about the accusation. |

Negative energy is fact of life. For example, gravitational potential energy is negative.
Of course, there are other forms of potential energy such as electric potential energy which can be positive, but generally speaking, those energies tend to get canceled out on the scale of normal human perception by virtue of the fact that there are roughly equal amounts of negative and positive charges. So, we are indeed left with only gravitational potential energy which is always negative.
Certainly, you could try and eliminate this by going out to infinite distances away from other matter, but that would surely be a lonely existence. Even then, you would still have to contend with your own (albeit small) negative gravitational interaction potential energy.
Another option would be to try and access your own positive rest mass energy. Unfortunately, this will invariably lead to your own self destruction. So, this is definitely not recommended.
Hence, there is one viable possibility. Be active thereby leading you to have kinetic energy which is always positive.

The OP seemed reasonable. But the majority of posts in this thread are really strange - there seem to be a lot of nuts in this forum. |

By the way to the above poster, just in case you were lumping me in with the group of nuts, I was merely being facetious. Frankly, as someone with a strong background in physics, I find anyone strange who misapplies physics terms such as "energy" while using the word "vibe" to describe human relations. I was just taking it a step further to show just how strange it sounds. |

Koreans can be passive-aggressive, but their negativity can come out in different ways.
When they get aggressive, watch out!
There are good, decent Korean people but some are awful.
Compared to Japanese they seem emotional.
Japanese would say Koreans are too emotional.
Koreans would say Japanese are cold.
Probably there are frustrated people in Seoul but they must be nice at work and speak in honorifics, so when they are on their way to work or going home, they take off their mask. In Japanese it is the uchi/soto distinction. |

Yes, Koreans are very negative people due to many factors. The typical Korean lifestyle is very tough and this results in the majority of Koreans being unhappy with their life. I've encountered so much passive-aggressive, and often outright aggressive, actions that I consciously try my best not to let it influence my thoughts and actions at all.
When you live in Korea you need to protect your mind and moral compass. I often see people attempting to justify the unjustifiable, in the attempt to remain positive. When you try to justify these things your mind starts to perceive them as acceptable actions. This is a slippery slope.
Keep your chin up and your head straight. And most of all, don't let the f@ckers bring you down. |

Koreans believe that happiness comes as a result of passing exams, having high status jobs, having sons, and owning material possesions.
Unless you achieve this high standard of success, then you have no right to appear content. If you show signs of happiness they will make every effort to wipe the smile from your face.
With the bar set so high, its hardly surprising that most people exist in a perpetual state of angst. |

Which may account for why South Korea has one of highest suicide rates in the industrialized world. However, I never really noticed Koreans being any more cranky than anyone else, but then again, maybe I was too self-absorbed with my own problems to notice. Or maybe they are good at putting on a happy face. |
