If you're investing in a fine time piece, opt for value over expediency. Buy at auction and have it shipped to a family member in the US. They also have auctions via Canadian, UK and Euro houses, so you could, if not from the US, just as easily go a home-country route and avoid customs fees. You can search or refine searches by currency and by country.
Buy at 50-75%+ discount and pick it up next time you're on a visit. |

That watch was in Korea at the time. It is sold. I might sell a few more of my Rolexes.
But not through an online auction. |
