Do you really want to go there? They were in charge: between 1940-45. And do you really want German cooking for the rest of your life? Get a hold of yourself. Laughing

They did in 2006. My friend was there, 2002, and 2010. They ran it like how they play football. Well organized, and kind of boring.

He said he like the 2002 WC the best. The atmosphere, well organized (aside from the British company that screwed up the ticketing), and everything seemed exotic to him. He sad the atmosphere on the Korean side of things was better than in Japan. In Korea you knew there was a world cup. In Japan you'd have to get near a stadium to really know there was a major event going on. Also, the Japanese police were just everywhere. He was even questioned by the J-police when he walked out of customs (witnessed it). I think that soured his Japanese experience.

Just realized you said world, not world cup... sorry Embarassed

But if they ran the world, it would be pretty mundane. But very well organized. Manuals for everything.

Germany were, in a way, lucky~

Rolling Eyes

Now that's retarded.

Would you like to explain why? Or do you want to carry on with your high school bluster? Laughing

I kept up with Germany before the WC and during the WC. Everything I saw made me think the German team was really good. I've talked with many people and they all seemed to have the same opinion. I don't think the team was relying on luck, not even a little. They seemed to make things happen.

So did I. I picked Germany pre-tournament. However, in football there is no magic formula. Any team can be beaten. European powers that were outsted in the group stage: Italy, England, Spain and lesser powers Russia, Croatia all knew how to beat Germany and had players to do it. WC Final was a game that could've gone either way.
Case in point are the Champions Cup Finals. 2012-13 had two German teams, shock winners over the favoured Spanish giants. 2013-14 had two Spanish teams back in the final. They had adjusted to the German tactics.

Seems to happen a lot in the WC to teams that have one or two star players that end up not performing as well as they usually would under pressure, or the lack of teamwork that comes when they are relying so much one one or two over the rest.

Zee Germans have to be considered early favorites for Euro 2016 in France.

As for who is Ronaldo:

Cristiano Ronaldo is Cristiano Ronaldo and not Ronaldo. Google search engine is not an arbitor in Brazilian sensibilities in giving a single name to their idols. Laughing

You should take that up with the British press then.
