I met a couple of Israeli tourists here. They seemed pretty nice. They were doing the backpacking kind of thing rather than being touristy. They even gave me travel advice if I want to visit Israel. They just said to visit other countries first if doing a regional tour as some other countries won't let you in if they see an Israeli stamp inyour passport.
Anyways, I don't see anything wrong with them. Any Israeli I ever met always seemed quite nice. But, I suppose all the military time and Krav Maga means you probably don't want to fight one. Maybe the women too. But, damn, they got good looking women!!
I'd say hands down, the Chinese as far as rude personal habits go (Spitting, soaking their feet in a public fountain, etc.) |

Israelis as a rule are rude. Not Korean rude, but still bad. I was there last year and nobody smiles. They are a nation of grumps who never learned basic nicities. But they are still miles ahead of Koreans. I'd have an Israeli roommate over a Korean any day of the week. |
Oh, kind of like Korea a few years ago then? Ha ha. The toursts abroad I met always seemed nice enough. But, I haven't been to the country itself. I would love to go. But, you'd have to time it right with the weather I supose? Summers would be unbearably hot. Late autumn would be best or is winter ok there? |

These would be packs of older Koreans going in groups, while younger ones tend to travel more alone or in smaller groups? |

It's trending that way. I think the issue with older Koreans is their English. Or lack of. So going in groups provides them that feeling of safety, and less stress. Just imagine some 70 year old Korean trying to order something in English... |

I live next to a hotel that caters to busloads of Chinese tourists.
Mostly they are fairly quiet and well-behaved. They don't talk loudly, they walk either in singles or pairs, they don't hog the pavement, they move out of your way, they don't bump into you.
If you go to China they tend to treat foreign people badly... but that's a different matter. |
really?! Where do you live? They're the exact opposite of what I always see in California. Very loud, making a scene everywhere they go, trying to haggle prices at outlets department stores and outlets lol! |

Admittedly, I haven't been to that many different places around China (a half dozen or so other cities and all over in and around the Shanghai area) but I've found Chinese people to be mostly accommodating, friendly and helpful. If not that, then they were apathetic to me. I've never been treated 'badly' for being a foreigner that I can remember. That's just my experience, of course. |
Well, I thought the thread was about tourists and not locals. Haven't been to Shanghai, but I wouldn't be surprised what you say is true. It's been an international powerhouse for a while with a huge foreign presence. |

There ya go. But in my mind Canadians are the most obnoxious with the off putting superiorness, second is Brits rah-rahing the flag and soccer---"We invented the game---lol" Yeah and you suck now. |

Any English person harping on about inventing the game is full-on delusional. I honestly doubt there are many people left that still say that.
It's not that our players are terrible at kicking a ball; they just lack the mental attitude and strength to handle the pressure on the international stage. It's an English disease! |

Canadians are the most polite and appreciated. Many Korean taxi drivers have told me so. They say: "Canada - goooooood!' "Canada - number 1". So, there you have it folks. Now you know.  |
