|
|
Are the trains on the new direct to incheon KTX service the same as the regular KTX trains or are they built with travelers in mind in terms of luggage? I'm writing about the Pusan/Daegu and such to the airport new KTX service.
When I travel back and forth from home, my family and I bring several large pieces of luggage. The regular KTX trains only have a space for light travelers.
Has anyone taken the new route? Can you comment on the luggage storage space? |

People who get on the high-speed trains that serve the airport from provincial cities will no longer have to get off at Seoul or Yongsan stations to transfer to the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) or get on limousine airport buses.
"All they have to do is stay on their KTX that will take them directly to the airport," a KORAIL official said. This can greatly improve convenience for passengers. |

So, it appears the Incheon KTX will be the same as the one you take from Daegu to Seoul. |

I am in the same situation. My wife and I decided to book first class KTX tickets. If you book in the front of the train car you get ample storage room in front of you, which is normally reserved for wheelchairs. It's a gamble - but one we are willing to take with oversize suitcases and a portable baby bed.
There is always the special chartered Korean air flight that goes from PUS to ICN two times a day. They will check your bags all the way to your final destination from PUS. |
