Sadly and unfortunately that is not surprising. Has anyone witnessed any noticeable difference in public safety measures in every day life since? |
They tested the emergency signal where I work, but no fire drill followed.
I may have noticed a few more signs here and there. I had never noticed the detailed instructions for how to use a fire extinguisher as part of Megabox's exit strategy video, but I can't say for sure that was new.
Other than that, no. |
We had a semi-organized fire drill for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. Prior to that if the fire alarms had gone off for whatever reason it was completely ignored by students and faculty. The NETs were concerned about it, but no one else was. |

Not that creep-O again.
There are plenty of private detectives in Korea. They mainly specialize in debt recovery.
There are also private armies in Korea (조폭). They specialize in getting people into debt.  |

By the way, from that link it says:
"Victims' families insist that heavy cranes can only be brought in to lift the ship once all the victims have been accounted for."
I understand being sensitive to the families, but that's just making things much more difficult...and dangerous. |

Yea my fiancee said the same thing the other day. What about the rescuers families?
She admitted that Koreans can be very emotional and not think things through when it comes to things like this. |

I wasn't really too interested in that part of the story at first - the search for the owner of the ferry. But that article reads like a movie script.

The Sewol crew's conduct is revealed to be more disgraceful every time they open their mouths.
