Growing up in the 80s, it was impossible to not know who she was. There was little chance of blurring her in your mind with anyone else.
Can't say I was a huge fan, though. Trying to recollect one of her jokes, all I can think of is "Her boobies are so small...", minus the punchline.
I guess I have to give her some credit for not backing down when criticized for a controversial joke a few years back.

She was nasty.
I read that her jewelry and fashion company is worth a billion dollars and her personal fortune was at about $150 million.
Man, she was still up at night working on stage telling jokes at 81. |
