For those who are missing the taste of American Chinese food, and want something cheaper and slightly better than Ho Lee Chow (not much of an endorsement, I know), Panda Express opened up at Lotte Department Store in Myeongdong.

That's Ho Lee Chow. They serve food that's 3X as expensive and tastes worse. |

American-style Chinese food has a history of failure in Korea. Fat Panda and Fuyi are among the failed attempts at bringing Yankee-style Chinese fare to Korea despite the Korean-style stuff being ugh! |

If Panda Express can make it in the ROK, then I've lost all hope for the place becoming a culinary world city. |

Plenty of other places to eat. You can revisit the other food thread if you need proof. Or just keep complaining. Either way. |

I looked at that thread again. It didn't change anything.
You say that 'world class' options abound and then gave a few selective examples to support your stance.
It's all good if you like that kind of food; doesn't change the fact that it's an opinion of what's good grub or not and that the place isn't exactly littered with great options.
Who is complaining, btw? |

So New York City doesn't have Panda Express? |

Does it? How long would it take someone to get there on the LIE if so? |

Surprisingly, not really, actually. I would've figured the pit that is Times Square would offer such authentic Chinese cuisine, but the only one in the city limits is actually way the hell out in Queens. |

It'll be the most authentic Chinese food in Korea. I heard the cost is about 40-50% more than U.S. prices. |

Did I say "world class" options, or is that something that you just made up? I'm curious. BTW, you ASKED for a few selective examples asshat. Those examples were provided, and then you ran like a little girl from that thread when proof was provided. Please, please continue with this line of conversation. I love being right. I love, even more, when people who are demonstrably wrong continue to argue. |

So...Did I say "world class" options exist? Or are you just lying? Hmmm? |
