Interesting.
I thought Michael only made Korea-friendly songs and videos. It's pretty brave for him as a foreigner to be speaking out against a Korean organization with this public service announcement. |

Is he the same as Capt. Porridge? I remember his exposes on Mannam and how he got video of them parading around with guns n stuff. |

I met a fresh-to-Korea foreigner today and he had a "World Peace Festival" ticket that someone on the street gave him. So something might be up again with these guys in the near future. |

I'm dismayed that one of my middle school students (a smart girl I care about) may have got caught up by them. She boasted today about attending some event in World Cup Stadium over Chuseok along with 5400 others including 1000 foreigners.
I discussed it with her homeroom teacher. If the parents are onside, theres little can be done. Shame about foreigners (many of them teachers) lending credence to this cult. |

I think a lot of foreigners don't know it's a cult. A bunch of friends have been to the events without knowing what the were meant to entail or were told there would be a football tournament and to sign their team up.
That said, most people should have heard about them by now. |

I'd forgotten about these guys. They used to hang out in my neighbourhood once in a while inviting foreigners to participate in various volunteering initiatives, but I had no idea they were so big. I just assumed it was a local thing. |

People are such saps, all you have to do is put the word "Peace" in your event and have some smiling young people hand you a flyer and you can get 1000 marks to show up. |
