|
|
I have just applied for my F6 visa and immigration said it should be processed in about 2 weeks. I've been on an E2 visa at the same workplace since March 2010 and my current contract ends at the end of February. After that I plan on taking a vacation for awhile and then working part-time/short term jobs starting in the spring.
My question is, what documents will I need to do part-time work/subbing? Immigration has both a criminal record check (Canadian) and notarized degree on file from 2011. Is it possible to get copies of these from immigration? Or do I need to get new ones? Do I need to submit these to my employer every single time I change my job? Should I get a Korean criminal record check since I have not left the country for more than 3 weeks at a time since 2010?
I hope someone can provide some advice. Thanks in advance! |

Im in a similar situation.
As far as I know the documents immigration has on file will be available. You only need them now to register with the ministry of education. As long as you deal with the same immigration office your good to go. If you move to another city im not sure.
If anyone knows any more infornation chime in please |

Same situation for me too.
Combining PTs makes more money for fewer hrs.
So, my copies at immigration did the trick.
For the Korean police check, it was like 10 minutes and super easy to get.
The hard part was STILL doing ANOTHER "Heath check"
That just never ends. The education dept officer said it had to be within 30 days. So, that was a b*tch. But the other PTs didnt ask for any of this stuff. It was just one job who wanted to be super thorough.
Basically, immi files are fine, korean police check is easy, but.constant blood/urine tests suck.Ive lost count how many Ive done here. |

Thanks! For the immigration files, do I actually need to go and request physical copies of them? Or just have any employer verify with the immigration office? |

For me it was both.
I submitted the paper copies at office of ed.
They called immi to confirm I didnt fabricate them.
Then I was approved. |
