Just a heads-up so that people don't get their stuff snagged by Korea Customs (like I did).

The six bottle protectionist rule imposed by Korean Customs:

1. includes protein powder
2. takes into account the bottles that arrive at customs on a particular day, so if splitting up your order, DO IT OVER TWO OR THREE DAYS.

Yes, the >6 bottles-on-one-day rule is on a list of rules when you check out at iHerb. I should have read closer.

Jesus, I've taken too many shots to the head.

iHerb.
When ordering from iHerb.

I'll edit the title.

Did they charge you customs fees or did they not allow the package to be delivered at all?

iHerb makes it very clear in your cart which items will be subject to the six bottle rule. It's easy enough to stay within the limit and avoid dealing with customs.

Got hit with something similar on an order from bodybuilding.com. I had about thirteen items in my box. 11 food, 2 non food. Had to ditch five of the food items. Lucky for me it was just special offer junk. Nothing serious, just bonus items. The whole 'bottle' thing is a little misleading as well. Its any separately packaged food item. Dunno if they go as far as individual protein bars or something like that. But i wouldnt take the chance. They were pretty inflexible with me and it cost an extra 30,000 for them to open and dispose things. Smile

They've given me the choice between paying their customs fees, and providing them with a doctor's percription. You know, for chocolate-flavored protein powder Rolling Eyes.

The shitty thing is, I usually order four big tubs of it (2 for me, 2 for a friend) without a problem. This time though, I bought 8 smaller tubs. It worked out to the same amount of product, but it broke the 6-bottle rule.
