I have read that the few giant meat companies that dominate the U.S. meat market have over the years been competing over price so severely that their profit margin is literally less than 25 cents per chicken.

Well, looks like they have found a new way to cut costs. Get the chicken from China. Ew! I can only imagine the factory farm conditions in China. Sad

Spread this news to friends and family at home. They should ask the supermarket where they shop where its meat comes from. If the supermarket does not know, they shouldn't buy it.

Meh, a bunch of the processed food people eat already comes from China.

I think it was funny to see all the people there turning up their noses, because if they've eaten anything with processed vegetables (canned mushrooms come particularly to mind) within the last 10 years, its had food from China in it.

Most "American" chocolates sold in Korea are made in China. Read the labels. M&M's, Snickers, Hurshey bars, etc. Shocked

you obviously have no clue about the factory farm conditions in america then. lol. utterly disgusting. have any idea why american eggs are refrigerated and eggs in most other countries aren't? because chicken farm conditions are so unsanitary in the states that most eggs contain traces of salmonella already and refrigeration is the only way to keep them remotely edible.

ever wonder why the meat companies that supply fast food companies buy enough ammonia to fill endless olympic-sized swimming pools? because it's used to "clean" the meat because it's so bacterial ridden.

when you get animals that are forced in the smallest pens possible pumped with antibiotics that aren't very effective due to resistance from overuse and make the animals eat food that is not a part of their natural diet and stress them out and force them to literally wallow in their own shit, bad bad things happen. and unfortunately for most americans, this is almost all of their meat and what's even more unfortunate is that most americans are utterly clueless or even worse, apathetic.

Wrong. The answer is quite simple: tradition/habit. There's really no need to keep American chicken eggs refrigerated. Also, most eggs everywhere in the world are likely to contain traces of salmonella. That's why you should not consume raw eggs or products containing raw egg.

By the way, while you're about learning something factual, as opposed to what you've posted, indulge yourself a little and learn how to use capital letters and punctuation.

The above posting brought to you by a long-time vegetarian.

lol. you are wrong. here, read this: http://io9.com/americans-why-do-you-keep-refrigerating-your-eggs-1465309529

by the way, while you are reading that and learning something factual as opposed to what you've posted, you might want to learn not to post if you have no clue about the topic at hand.

the above posting brought to you by someone who knows what he's talking about, unlike yourself.

Stop selling eggs from factory farms
https://www.change.org/p/tell-costco-to-stop-selling-factory-farmed-eggs?utm_campaign=new_signature&utm_medium=email&utm_source=signature_receipt#share
The Humane League

The egg industry forces birds on factory farms to spend their entire lives cramped in cruel, filthy, and unsustainable battery cages. There are better ways to raise birds, and that's why California passed two groundbreaking animal protection laws, Prop 2 and AB1437, that together require all shell eggs sold in the state to be produced by farm animals that have adequate space for natural behaviors by January 2015. The problem is Costco refuses to work with The Humane League to assure they will follow this law that gave retailers years to phase in. Please sign our petition asking Costco to stop selling factory farmed eggs.

Unfortunately, a few retailers are ignoring the intention of these animal cruelty laws by planning to sell eggs from hens trapped in modified cages. They have had six years to make adjustments to follow the law, but they feel there is a loophole that allows birds to remain confined in warehouses of tiny, filthy cages stacked upon each other. We can show Costco that consumers demand trustworthy, ethical business practices from this retail giant.

Costco, the large chain of warehouse stores founded in California, is now presented with the opportunity to stand with the voters of California and pledge to be 100% cage-free in the state or turn its back on the efforts of voters who do not want to contribute to inhumane animal agriculture practices.

Please, sign our petition and ask Costco to take a stand against animal cruelty in California and make plans to extend this policy nationally. It's time for Costco to do the right thing and end its support of farms that still use cage systems.

Dip rat in MSG.
Deep fry in engine oil.
Enjoy!
