Yeah, he gets pretty worked up.. I encounter the same stuff everyday. Just tap the horn quickly and continue on. Let 'em know you think they're an ahole but don't let it ruin your day. It's not healthy. |

That brings back memories, though the video does not do the traffic there justice. That's actually pretty tame -it's really about ten times worse than the video depicts. Motorists entering traffic or changing lanes without looking - not even a quick glance- was always my biggest frustration. But surprisingly, there did not seem to be much road rage there. It's like the stuff in the video is normal, and if you choose to drive you have to accept it. The driver in the vid needs to learn that because it will never change!
In fact, when I first got there I took one look at the traffic and decided to shelve my plans of buying a scooter - thinking it would be sure-death for me. But after about a month living in an isolated part of town I decided I was going to die of boredom anyway, so changed my mind again and bought the biggest scooter available (real motorcycles were not legal where I lived). Talk about a wild ride- definitely not for the faint of heart!! It felt like a competition, and I got pretty good at it. |

Guy needs to chill. What did he expect driving in a developing country with 2 billion people? |

Unless those pedestrians ran on a red light, I wouldn't even be hazed by ANY of it (the Chinese, not the Russian experience).
That all seems "normal" to me Was I in Korea for too long? |

I think that in order to drive in China without dying of an angry heart attack, one must have the ability to see the 'flow' and move with the flow. You must become one with the traffic. You must be have good car-fu. |
