I usually pocket a can of pop and rarely buy popcorn. Never squid or that other shite they sell. I also use any and all discounts possible.

The complaints about worker conditions and wages have my total support. Too many companies these days are shiteing on their workers while making their stockholders billions. It's a travesty.
The other complaints don't bother me as much. I take my own food and drink into the movies, and I hate 3D. |

They used to not allow you to bring your own food, but there were objections to that, the government intervened and now you can bring in whatever you like. Which is why I think their complaints about the high prices of concessions are baseless.
I grew up not being about to afford concessions in the movies. We always made a stop at out local drug store for a Hershey bar or Milk Duds, Raisinets etc. beofre heading for the theater. |

So did we. I recall hiding bottles of ginger in my pockets and sweets stuffed down my jumper, then feeling great as you munched and glugged your contraband throughout the movie. |

Overall movie costs back home are high too. They all suck. Only thing I didn't know was you have to pay to rent 3d glasses here? I remember going to Imax in the States and seeing some 3D movies. Glasses were free and disposable. You gave them back. If they broke, the theater just threw them out. This was over a decade ago, so maybe it's changed now. |

We used to bring everything in there. Mc Donald's, fried chicken, burgers, etc. It was much easier to do in the winter time than summer time though.
I didn't realize we could bring in snacks here though.
I also hate 3D as well. I just want to watch the movie normally. |

Yes I've seen the prices in Canada too. Outrageously expensive and just encourages people to download. There is a tipping point on prices where people simply wont go to the theater. |
