The only thing that matters is that they spend money and the Chinese certainly spend a ton, so they should get a pass for the crazies. |
Money does not buy anyone the right to disrespect another persons culture.

Australians in Asia: Very chilled and friendly, the kind of guys who you can slap on the thigh after telling a joke and they don't get freaked out if your hand lingers just a split second too long.
Australians in Europe: A more wretched hive of villainy I have yet to encounter. |

Money is what matters to tourist sites/resorts and the fact that Chinese tourists are contributing so much should give them a pass for the crazy minority. |

There are plently of places that are so sick of certain nationalities that they ban them. They would rather forego the money then deal with the bullshit. I saw "No Israelis" signs in Thailand when i was last there in 2004. There was a story about resorts in Bali(i think) banning koreans. |

Do the Israelis really haggle to much over hotel prices and food or is it just anti-Semitism. |

Bali Businesses Ban Annoying Korean Tourists
November 19th, 2013
by STEVE HAN
Hotels, retailers and restaurants on the resort island of Bali are rejecting Korean customers due to some who flout regulations to make the most of their stay, according to South Korean TV network SBS.
Korean tourists are reportedly finding new and creative methods of vacationing on the cheap at the Indonesian vacation destination, which is frustrating local business owners to no end.
Some schemes include tourists selling extra keys for their luxury hotel rooms to others who wish to use the hotel’s swimming pool without staying there, loading oceanfront gazebos with their luggage early in the morning to reserve their spaces and even launching online discussion forums to teach others how to complain and make requests for special accommodations in English.
SBS reports that these antics have prompted a number of local businesses to put signs on their doors prohibiting Korean customers from entering. It’s a bold and desperate move, given that South Korea sent around 25,392 tourists to the island last year, according to the Bali Tourism Board.
“There’s a pervading belief that Korean customers are evil,” the SBS report said. “There’s an ongoing movement to reject Korean customers. Some luxury hotels are turning down Korean tourists even when there are rooms available.”

To be fair, haggling over a hotel price isn't nearly as bad as when dirty backpackers haggle over a penny difference on the price of an apple in a Thai marketplace. Backpackers try to haggle over the most ridiculous amounts. Really? You saved a penny while on vacation? You must be so proud of yourself.
Sometimes you see something like that and wonder why these people are on vacation in the first place. There's a difference between budgeting for a vacation and wasting 20 minutes trying to knock off a penny of the price of an orange. I saw this once, and after the jackass walked away I stepped up and bought an orange from the same woman - gave her extra for it because of the jackass before me. She smiled. It was so worth it. |

My issue is with China's predatory international attitude, for instance the 9 dash line with entitles them, in their own predatory way of thinking, to a huge portion of the South China Sea. If they want to take their clothes off in the airport bathroom, I'll just have to use another bathroom; It's not something that relates internationally. |

They could be stopped easily if the countries most affected would work together with the US and stop getting distracted by irrelevant historical issues.
The Chinese will salami slice their way to full ownership and if the countries primarily hurt by these actions won't get serious about defending themselves, then that will be their own fault.
Nobody has any right to any land/sea, you only own it so long as you can defend it from invasion and occupation. |

don't think there has been a Chinese/Korean/Russian tourist who has behaved as badly as that Brit tourist in Latvia who pissed on the monument to their national hero.

Well, there was the Canadian who did this a few years back.
He said he wanted his kids to go see his name in twenty years. |

Well, that's not evidence, but there are way too many bad-behaving Chinese tourists. When I was in Laos, my hotel was full of folks from China. Granted, I am not in a position about the majority of the guests, but some were extremely loud, and it didn't matter to them that there were other guests, like myself, who would want some peace-and-quiet. They need to teach their tourists who to behave; I agree. Most do, but too many have no clue. Bad behaving tourists is a problem when it comes to all nationalities. Some American tourists wrote their name on the Colosseum. I believe they got arrested. |
