How does SAT teaching differ from other hagwons? How is the teaching style different? Is it recommended for more beginner teachers?

Yes, it's for beginning teachers. After you're more experienced, you can move to STOOD teaching.

SAT teaching requires that you understand how to do well on the SAT. If you're asking this question, I think this may be a real concern.

So....then this isn't an ESL position its an SAT prep position. Thats what I wanted to clarify. I was confused because a recruiter showed me a posting and it was SAT teaching, and I was even more confused as it was for middle school..

Test prep generally pays a bit more than teaching conversation.

SAT is a university entrance testing in America. That's why not everyone knows what it is. We don't have these or any university exams in Canada. When you apply to school, they look at your high school marks for grade 12 and what kind of essay you wrote on your application. I tell Korean kids about this and they're astonished. Quite simplified compard to most countries I'm guessing.

SAT prep is also more performance-based, as in you'll prolly get fired if your students don't do well on the test. I've never done it but I have heard that the methodology to getting a better score isn't rocket science.
