Here are the details: I am Canadian, contract is up May 30, ARC Card expires June 30, Passport Expires Dec 2016. After my contract I want to spend 7 weeks traveling Korea, China, Japan, go back to Canada for a month and then come back to Korea.
I want to be in China around Mid-End of July but I heard you need 6 months left on your ARC to be able to get a tourist visa for China. I wouldn't be able to apply now because I have only 2.5 months left on my E2. Here are some of the plans I had:
Switch to 6 month D10 visa June 1st. Hopefully get the D10 in about a week, then apply for a Chinese Tourist visa. Tell my hagwon I will work with them in September for a year (which they have already asked me to do), sign a new contract now and issue a new E2 visa from now until September 2016 then go apply for the Chinese tourist visa Switch to D10, head out to Japan first and apply for a Chinese visa while in Japan.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |
