Great news, fight fans! The mega-fight featuring Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will be televised on SBS and SBS Sports the late morning/early afternoon of May 3 (Sunday).
I'm thinking there will be a time delay as there was with other fights televised "live" in Korea, but hey, better than paying 90-100 bucks for PPV in the U.S. |

I'm thinking the online feeds will be shaky and stuff given how big the fight is. |

Does anyone know of a place that will be playing the fight with the original US English commentary? In other world cities, major hotels often have buffet/fight events, though I doubt that would happen in Seoul. |

I'm thinking Upper Deck in Gyeongridan will play it but as Yaya said, the online feed will probably be shaky. I know that other bars in Itaewon will play it if they can. |

I dont mind the Korean commentary as long as they dont think a commentator is a cheerleader. |

This fight would have been much better if it happened 5 years ago. These fighters haggled for too long, have gotten older and worn down. They're not as good as they used to be. It'll still be a good fight but 5 years ago would have been perfect. |

I think Mayweather will dominate. But it will be fun to see, and I hope Pacman can pull it off. |

I didn't know there was a distinction between "outright" and getting a decision.

"Not good as they used to be" is still better than all the other top guys in the division. They're slower and more hitable so it may actually make for a more exciting fight. |

Maybe he means is Pacquiao will clearly dominate or KO Mayweather, or at the very least win by close decision. |

Lol I figured that's what he meant. I was just making fun of his terminology. It's not going to happen anyway maybe except for Pacquiao edging out a split decision. |

Floyd is the favorite, no doubt, but don't count out Pacquiao. He's been pumped for this fight for many years, and I'm thinking Floyd DID duck Pac-man for years because of the fear of losing. Plus both Pac-man and his trainer Freddie Roach have been waiting for this day, and Pac is fighting for his country. I'm also expecting a Floyd victory on points, but I'm rooting for Pac and against a woman beater.
Yes, this fight should've happened five years ago but at least it's happening now, as many pundits said it wasn't happening at all. Still, the hype and anticipation are there, and damn, by the way things are going, the fight could exceed expectations (and those are HUGE expectations).
I'm thinking you're better off watching the fight on SBS or SBS Sports. The feeds will probably suck so badly that day, and even if you get a good one, it could cut off at any time, like when one boxer has the other in a bind and then ZIP! |

I really don't understand the hate for a man people have never met and has only heard of through the media. Yeah being pumped for a fight is such an advantage for a fighter. I guess Pacquiao would have never lost to Marquez if only he was more pumped for it. If only mayweather's past opponents were more pumped up.
The Pac/May fight was conceptualized in the first place because Mayweather sent a signed document to the Pacquiao camp but Pacquiao turned it out due to drug testing. Manny has conceded to the testing now so perhaps he turned it down back then for other reasons? Either way it's happening now so I don't know how anybody can say both guys were scared. They're so scared that they're fighting eachother! I wouldn't go as far as to say it was orchestrated, but the hype amassed for the past 6 years has allowed both guys to go home with a bigger pay check. Floyd guaranteed Pac 40 mil in the past, but now Manny gets at least 80 mil (likely more than 100). The fans gnashed their teeth but the fighters, promoters, and networks benefited greatly from the wait.
And lol at the woman-beater comment. If you know anything about Josie Harris, you wouldn't so sure about that. I'm sure Mayweather haters rejoice at the supposed domestic abuse scandal since now you have an actual reason to hate him. But Josie Harris is a psycho who has openly admitted to lying in court and trying the same stunt against other men as well as physically abusing other women. She openly admits to beating up other women in Floyd's entourage when she was around. I give Floyd benefit of the doubt given what kind of woman he was dealing with. And if you're going give shit to Floyd for "wife-beating" and his personal life maybe you should also mention how Pacquiao has a child with a *beep* whom he banged while he was married. I personally don't care because I'm a fan as well as a student of boxing, and fighters' personal lives are irrelevant. |
