Just over a week until the big day and it's looking like it could be an exciting election night again.

I really want to watch the BBC coverage so was wondering if anybody knew a reliable subscription site I can join for a month and then cancel the subscription.

I have BBC Knowledge on my cable TV but I'm not sure if they will show it. Also I don't want to mess around with dummy IPs, mirror sites and dodgy ways to get BBC Iplayer working as I've found all those unreliable in the past.

Anyway I've found a couple of sites that charge about 5 quid a month but would be very grateful if somebody could recommend one.

Are you sure your cable provider doesn't offer BBC World?

It should be streamed live online on the BBC news website, no country restrictions. At least back in 2010 it was, so I don't see why it would be any different this time round.

It'll be on BBC World which is on Olleh TV as part of their basic package.

Also you could stream it online from just about any free TV streaming site or app. The BBC site itself will run it live to.

We used to have Qook cable in Seoul which had BBC World and News 24 (I think). But we live in the sticks now with some cheapo C & Em cable, and endless repeats of Top Gear on BBC Knowledge.

I'm looking for the proper election night coverage with swingometers and the rest as opposed to bland repetitive updates on BBC News 24 which makes me think I need to get hold of BBC1 proper.

Anyone tried any subscription services? I don't really want to use a streaming site.

Use a VPN like zenmate for chrome and watch BBC1 live as it happens. That's what I'll be doing if they limited it to people in the UK.
