The Korean won is not alone. In addition to the fall in KRW, most world currencies not pegged to USD are weakening against the US dollar, indicating mass flight to safety.

Once the falli in commodities stops Canada and Australia will stop falling. The Korean won on the other hand...

The Korean peso has stopped falling for now.....1,180 or thereabouts today.

KRW = Toilet paper.

As for Canada, the dollar might drop more if the Socialists win the election in October. Good for us over here.

I've been out of the ESL game for years but I haven't heard of a mass exodus. I mean China and Vietnam offer opportunities for teaching and saving (more the latter) but I think Korea is quite comfy for those who are used to it.
