Gmarket has lyles golden syrup and treacle listed but they are extortionate. I did a bit of digging and found that there are korean versions of both products:
golden syrup: 요리당 (large clear bottle)
Treacle: 카라맬 (very small brown glass bottle)
Also, in the rice aisle, there are porridge oats (oatmeal) in all branches of homeplus in my city.
I am baking some parkin as we speak!!!!! |

A bit early for the Guy. Did turn a bit Wintry overnight, though. Is this a test batch in advance? Sort out the ingredients for November 5th? Or reaction to the cooler temperatures and a bit of nostalgia for home? |

I just love parkin. In England i would make it in June if the hankering arose. |

I just had to google "Parkin". Wiki enlightened me; "Parkin is virtually unknown south of the Humber". |
