You should also explain to her that most Koreans talk differently to others compared to what she is used to in the States. They will never tell you good job. They will seem to be rude and blunt at times. We've all experienced it, even from our students. My guess is that is what happened to her. Her handler was not gentle when they delivered the news to her about the two days without pay. They didn't point out the clause in the contract. They did not apologize for any misunderstandings (most likely on her part). The recruiter did not seem as helpful to her as when she was getting the visa.

Welcome to Korea!

You do realize a lot of teachers come who come to Korea have psychological problems, don't you? I am not saying mental illness is bad, but it is something to be aware of. Very difficult to find good therapy in English here.

Nope, not even close. I don't find her attractive.

It seems to me the two of you can help each other with your problems Cool

I don't find her attractive and even more so what would a early 20 something want with an out of shape 34 year old with a wife and a kid? I imagine she sees me more like a dad, which makes me feel old as hell...

Dang if she's from the mid-West, and presumably has been to Bismarck, North Dakota once, then what's her problem?
