I have some clothes that I want to have altered, but they aren't they typical type of articles you'd think of to save such a thing done to.
I have a bunch of t-shirts and long sleeved t's that fit great, except they are way too long. Must be my weird body shape(short torso/long legs).
Any ideas where I could get this done? I assume it would be the same type process as getting pants hemmed. Then again, I have no idea about such things. Maybe at a dry cleaning place?
I just know I'm going to get the weirdest look when I make this request lol. |

Pile them up outside your building on Christmas day, then light them on fire and chant until the fire burns out. |

Every few blocks pretty much anywhere in seoul you can find tailors. Sometimes drycleaners will do it as well, but finding a tailor shouldn't be hard. |

They won't even look twice at you - I've had a few long tops shortened, even though the dressmaker spoke no English when I showed her the tops folded where I wanted them hemmed, she knew exactly what I wanted. Everything was ready the next day and cost next to nothing. |

When you walk down the street keep your eyes out for the words 옷수선 or just 수선. Those are the stores you're looking for. |

Yeah, I can attest to this. Went with a friend of mine last year in seol and just showed the clothes vaguely pointed out where to work on and the man knew exactly what to do. It's like sign language with a bit of telepathy. But yeah you can pretty have it done in drycleaners they usually know how to do the job. |

Try the tailor shops around Ewha Womans Uni.'s front gate. Plenty of famous ones there, though they mostly cater to women.
Don't go to a dry cleaners for alterations and tailoring. They can do basic stuff OK but better you go to a proper tailor (옷수선 in Korean). |
