Yeah, because there are only two countries on the planet, aren't there?
Besides, Korea has plenty of crime. It just gets ignored, swept under the carpet, or made to disappear by paying out blood money. People waaaay underestimate the amount of criminal behaviour that goes on in his place.
Ask any woman if she feels safe taking a taxi home alone late at night. And look at every single first floor window in the country - they have bars on them!! It's not a fashion statement. They are there for a reason.
They don't have gun crime because they've no guns, and they don't have any borders over which to smuggle guns. Now, given what we know about Koreans, I think we can all know what this place would be like if they had access to guns like they do in the U.S.
By banning all guns whatsoever the government knows full well what it's doing. These people aren't exactly cool-headed and given to sober reflection.
Just like you and I, the government understands this. No guns!! |

Dude, if you think violence in Korea is anything close to that of the U.S. or U.K., even with the gun factor, you are out of your mind. Name on subway stop in Seoul that is a no-go zone past 12AM. There isn't one. Women don't feel safe at night, but that's every country under the sun. Bars on windows is a basic safety measure, like a door lock, plus plenty of places don't have bars. Yes, some crime gets swept under the rug or not reported, but that happens everywhere as well.
If Korea is really that crime filled, then we shouldn't laugh at Korean rappers trying to act hard. If you do laugh at them, then you admit that this place is low-violence and soft. When it comes to violent crime and theft, I can't think of one person that didn't grow up in some sheltered place that thinks this place is anything as close to as dangerous when it comes to violent crime as back home. Embezzlement, fraud, traffic safety? That's another matter. |

That's the funniest argument I've heard in a long time. Westerners laugh at Korean rappers, therefore Korea must have a low crime rate? I'm sure there are a whole bunch of reasons why people laugh at Korean rappers. Personally I laugh at all rappers, or at least think they're a talentless waste of space, but obviously with American ones I wouldn't do it to their faces.
You're probably right about the crime rates but there must be some stats out there that would prove your argument in a less frivolous way. |

Yeah its silly, but so are the people who one try to claim that Korea is some sort of crime filled hell hole and then laugh at Koreans for making rap videos like they grew up in some dangerous neighborhood.
I for one think the evidence supports the idea that Korea isn't dangerous and that Korean rappers aren't hard. |
